SOP2-Database concepts using LibreOffice Base
Steps to create database in LibreOffice Base:
Click on start button -> All Programs -> LibreOffice -> LibreOffice Base.
Click on the Finish button on the Database Wizard window.
Specify location and Database name on ‘Save As’ dialog box.
Click on Save Button.
Steps to create Employee Table :
Click on Tables in the Database section on the left side of the screen.
Click on ‘Create Table in Design view…’ in task section.
create following fields:
Right click and mark the empid field as Primary Key field.
Click on the file menu and select the save option.
Specify Table name as ‘Employee’ and click on Ok button on Save as Dialog box.
Steps to create Queries:
Click on Queries in the Database section on the left side of the screen.
Click on ‘Create Query in Design view…’ in task section.
Select your Table on ‘Add Table or Query’ Dialog box, click on add button and close it.
Double click on the fields you want in your query.
Specify given condition in ‘criterion’ under particular field column.
Click on the ‘Run Query’ option at the Toolbar.
